Timmy Gibson - Senior Pastor

As the founding pastor, Timmy brings vitality and passion to the vision of Mercy Church. His heart is to help people develop a healthy relationship with Jesus Christ through the ministry of the local church. Timmy was raised in church in Kansas City and never saw himself as the stereotypical “pastor” type; he still feels this way today. He has always had a desire to help people have better lives, and what better way than being a pastor. He graduated Bible College in 1994 with a Bible Degree and just a month after he graduated he married his college sweetheart, Jana, and they have two beautiful children, Shaeylea and Vandon. They enjoy life very much and love what they do here at Mercy Church.

Brandon Hollis – Worship Pastor

As a PK (preacher's kid), Brandon cut his teeth on the pew, and never expected to find himself loving life in full-time ministry. His talent and passion for music are evident in every Sunday morning service. Brandon developed a heart for God at a young age, and was inspired to pursue excellence in corporate worship when he was just a kid playing piano and trumpet in his father's church. After getting his degree in music, he fell in love with the church camp lifeguard. Love at first sight! They married and moved to KC to be a part of the launch team for Mercy Church. Brandon and Danielle have two boys, Bodhi and Sloan, and are honored to be a part of the leadership team.

Geoff Lundy – Student Pastor

Geoff Lundy is very excited and passionate about leading //epidemic, the youth ministry at Mercy Church. Born and raised in southern California, it was quite a journey to attend CentralChristian College in McPherson, KS. During that time, he met and married his lovely wife, Devyn, who is a Kansas City native. They have a daughter, Shaylee, and a son, Will, and greatly enjoy the adventure of parenting. Geoff has been involved in leading youth ministry programs for several years, most recently as a youth pastor in Michigan. Geoff is a sports fanatic and loves the Dodgers, the Lakers, and of course the Chiefs. He plays guitar and loves music, and loves seeing teens become true Disciples of Christ.

Michele Huff – Administrative Assistant

As the Administrative Assistant to Pastor Timmy and accountant for Mercy Church, Michele combines her love of people and numbers! She is a native California girl and that is where she met and married the love of her life, Doug. They transplanted to Kansas City in 2000. Their beautiful son Ethan was adopted from Ethiopia in 2009, and they are currently in the process of adopting a baby girl from China. Not having been raised in church Michele spent most of her young life journeying through many of the world?s religions searching for God. Michele says the best thing that ever happened to her was accepting Christ at a crusade 15 years ago, she loves to read she is most happy spending time with her family and friends and being a part of Mercy Church.

Orin Borgelt – Trustee

Orin moved to Olathe from a small town in Kansas to attend school at Mid-America Nazarene University. There he received a degree in Psychology and Sociology and then went on to earn his MBA. He began working for Sprint during college (tuition reimbursement rocks!) and was there 8 years. His current job is that of a Store Manager for Target which he thoroughly enjoys. According to him, the unlimited power is nice (smile) but the ability to work closely with so many people in complex situations is what really motivates him. Orin's position of Trustee is equally, if not more enjoyable. His responsibility is to not only serve MC fiscally, but also assist in the growth of each individual attending our church. Orin has been faithfully attending MC since nearly the beginning and absolutely loves it!

Jana Gibson - Kid’s Life Director

Jana is a proud Okie and OSU Cowboys fan. Growing up her mother owned dance studios which started her life long love of dance. She spent a portion of her life in Cushing, Oklahoma (a very small town – the population sign was updated when she moved!) where she started attending church on a regular basis. She sometimes misses the laid back feel of the country life, but says she wouldn’t trade her life now for anything. She still loves the outdoors, especially horseback riding when she visits her dad. She also loves playing sports, mentoring women, spending time with her family and friends and dreams of one day earning her pilot’s license. Jana graduated Bible College in 1993 which is where she met Timmy. By and large, Jana’s biggest joy in life comes from her husband and two children.
