What To Expect
When you arrive on Sunday, be prepared for a legion of hospitable people to assail you with handshakes, smiles, and offers of freshly prepared organic omelets and fat-free muffins. Okay, that’d be weird, but we do have fresh premium coffee and donuts available for FREE in our Fellowship Hall. That alone will make the trip worth while. And if you have children, we have fully staffed, age-appropriate children’s services designed specifically for kids of all ages.
Our music is contemporary, intimate and heartfelt, though we do find value in the classic hymns of the church that are foundational to our Christian heritage.
What is the service like?
You’ll find the teaching to be Biblical, life-applicable, fun, and entertaining, although we do take the message of hope through Jesus very seriously. It is our goal to help people connect with God in a real way, which aligns with our vision of “leading people to a healthy relationship with Jesus Christ.”
The adult worship service is held in the sanctuary. Our services generally last 75 minutes, which means during football season you will get home in plenty of time to set the TV tray up in front of the big screen to watch the Chiefs. The dress is casual, but if you feel more comfortable in a suit, that is fine too! It’s a come-as-you-are culture at Mercy Church, so just wear whatever is comfortable for you.
BOTTOM LINE: You are welcome and wanted at Mercy Church, where you can truly be accepted for who are as you become all that God intends you to be.
If you have children?
We have wonderful Sunday School Classes for all children during our main adult service that are staffed by qualified and trained workers who love children. Using age appropriate materials, we strive to teach children the life-changing truths of Scripture as we model what a healthy relationship with Jesus Christ looks like. Children are the church of tomorrow, so we believe in giving them our very best!
